Conditions

  1. DAILY RENTAL - inclusive of VAT, bedding, TV, M-Net, electricity, gas and towels. Linen and towels are changed after every 7 nights. Guests are responsible for toilet paper, cleaning materials, soaps, shampoos and servicing of the cottages. Free use of tennis court, playground and swimming pool.
  2. UNITS ARE NOT SERVICED by us, but are handed over in a clean condition and must be in like condition when guests vacate. Any damages done to furniture or any breakages will be charged to guests. Servicing and babysitting available at hourly rates.
  3. REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT OF R1000.00 i.r.o breakages, damage, clean up, telephone and key - is payable on arrival. The deposit is refundable after management has checked the unit and the keys have been returned. The credit card given will be used. Cash/cheques acceptable.
  4. Guests of Allandale who wish to have day visitors must obtain permission from reception. A charge of R75 (Lo), R85 (Mid) and R95 (Hi) per person per day will be levied. Children under 5 half price.
  5. Monthly rates exclude electricity and gas for room heating. But include a linen/towel change and service after every 7 nights.
  6. Cottages with metered phones are charged for at double Telkom unit rate.
  7. A CONFIRMATION DEPOSIT OF 4 X DAILY RATE must arrive within 24 HOURS of the telephonic/email reservation to secure the booking. The balance of the account is due strictly upon arrival. Credit card given will be used. No reduction is made in respect of guests leaving before expiry of their booked period.
  8. If it is necessary to cancel the booking (except Hi-Season) guests will receive a refund of the deposit less 15% - providing we have received written notice at least 30 days before the start of the booked dates. Less than 30 and up to 15 days before, refund the deposit less 15% ONLY if we relet the booked dates.
  9. If the booking is cancelled and we receive written notice at least 15 days before the arrival date - the deposit will be forfeited.
  10. If the booking is not cancelled or you arrive 48 hours late without notifying the management you will forfeit your booking and deposit and also be held responsible for the full balance of hire, unless we manage to let your cottage. Credit card given will be used.
  11. HIGH SEASON DEPOSITS are NOT refundable, and the bookings are NOT transferable.
  12. MINIMUM advance booking is three nights.
  13. Only one motor vehicle is permitted at any time. Prior permission can be obtained for more vehicles. Trailers and visitors cars must be parked in the area shown to them by management.
  14. No roller-skates, roller blades or skateboards to be used on the tennis court, brick paving or concrete patios. Bicycles by permission only.
  15. No parties, load music or unruly behaviour at any time during your stay. No disturbing other guests howsoever after 10:00pm.
  16. ARRIVAL after 2.00pm - DEPARTURE by 10.30am
  17. Pets by arrangement only. Pets must have their own bedding, always be on a leash outside and may never be left on their own.
  18. Only Allandale staff may be used for servicing cottages. No work whatsoever may be done for guests at Allandale by anyone not in Allandale’s employ. No business may be conducted from Allandale unless by prior arrangement.
  19. Guests of Allandale will be responsible for the security and safety of their possessions and their family, during their stay and while using any of Allandale’s facilities, play park, horses, bicycles, swimming pool and tennis court.
  20. While management of Allandale has taken all normal precautions, during it's 50 years of operating a holiday resort, Allandale cannot be held responsible for any loss of guest's property or possessions during their stay. Please insure your possessions and use the safe in the cottage.
  21. Failure to heed any of these conditions after 2 warnings by management will result in the booking and stay being terminated with no refund.
  22. Bookings are confirmed with quoted prices. Prices on brochures and the website are valid from 1 May to 30 April every year and are subject to change at any time without notification.
